Reading the Sky
a monthly celestial planner
Reading the Sky is a planner that takes its rhythm from the sky rather than the clock. Each day holds one page, and each page reads the transit of that day, where the Sun, the Earth and the Moon stand, named through Human Design and the Gene Keys, with room beside it for your morning, your focus, your evening and your notes. The word transit means a passage, a crossing, a navigation through time, and that is what a month of these pages is, a way to move through the days awake to the weather we all pass through.
It comes two ways. Digital is an A5 you read and annotate on a screen, in Goodnotes or any note-taking app you can import a PDF into, page after page and written on by hand. Printable is a small set of files you print at home, fold and staple into booklets, a Traveller size that slips into a pocket and a larger one for your desk.
A new edition arrives every month, the sky being different each time.
How to print and finish the Traveller
The Traveller prints at home on ordinary Letter or A4 paper. Print it on both sides, set to flip on the long edge, at full size. Each sheet comes out with two pages side by side.
Cut each sheet to a 21 by 21 cm square, about 8.27 by 8.27 inches, near eight and a quarter inch. A metal ruler and a sharp craft knife give the truest edge, or you can trim a few sheets at a time on a paper cutting machine. Then fold each square down the middle and it falls to Traveller size.
Print the first page, the title, on a heavier stock so it becomes a sturdy cover. Nest the folded sheets in order with the cover on the outside, and hold them in your Traveler’s Notebook under the elastic, or staple the spine. The larger booklet, A5, needs no trimming, you print it and fold each sheet down the middle on the paper size named in its file.
