November 2025: The Month of Truth, Purpose, and Breakthrough
A Journey Through Authentic Creative Expression
Gate 44: Truth and Alertness
November 1-4, 2025
November 1-2: Gate 44.1 & 44.2 – The Foundation and Polite Struggle
The Instinctual Knower and The Diplomatic Truth-Teller
November opens with the Sun in Gate 44, positioned in the Spleen Center in Scorpio. Karen Curry Parker calls this gate “Truth,” while the traditional I Ching names it “Coming to Meet” or “Alertness.” Ra Uru Hu taught that Gate 44 is “the great nose” – the Personnel Manager of our being, capable of sniffing out what serves survival and what doesn’t. This is cellular memory at its deepest level, the spontaneous recognition that operates in the now without needing mental justification.
The first line establishes the foundation – this is the pure instinct that knows without knowing how it knows. The second line brings what Ra called “polite struggle” – the capacity to recognize what’s wrong but to address it with discretion and tact. For artists, this opening asks: What does your body actually know about your creative path? What have you been sensing but perhaps dismissing because you couldn’t explain it logically?
With Earth in Gate 24 (Blessings/Returning) in the Ajna Center, we see a powerful dynamic: instinctual knowing meets mental pondering. The body knows instantly; the mind needs time to return again and again to understand. This is the artist learning to trust visceral response while honoring the mind’s need to comprehend.
November 3-4: Gate 44.3 & 44.4 – Alliance and Investigation
The Collaborative Instinct and The Discerning Truth-Seeker
The third line recognizes that individuals struggle alone but can form temporary alliances when facing common challenges. The fourth line investigates – it knows instinctually who can be of value in times of struggle, who can be trusted to empower rather than influence. Ra taught that individuals don’t influence each other; they either empower each other to live out their own truth, or they don’t.
For creative work, these days ask: Who in your creative community truly empowers your unique expression? Who are the allies who share your struggle without trying to change your direction?
Gate 1: Purpose and Creative Power
November 5-10, 2025
November 5-6: Gate 1.1 & 1.2 – Creation Independent of Will & Love is Light
The Surrendered Creative and The Luminous Expression
On November 5th, the Sun shifts into Gate 1, The Creative, positioned in the G Center in Scorpio. This is one of the six “role gates” Ra identified – gates that carry such fundamental themes that they dominate the life of anyone who has them defined. Karen Curry Parker calls Gate 1 “Purpose,” emphasizing that your life itself is your purpose, that authentic self-expression is the contribution.
The first line teaches something crucial for artists: “Creation is independent of will.” As Ra emphasized, this is not about ego forcing uniqueness. True creativity, true mutation, cannot be willed into existence – it happens through us when we surrender to what wants to emerge. The Moon is exalted here, reminding us that timing is everything. Adaptation, not force, allows creativity to flow.
The second line, “Love is light,” speaks to the quality that attracts recognition. Ra taught that second line people don’t know the depth underneath what they carry – they simply embody it naturally. For artists in these days, the invitation is to trust that your authentic expression will be seen by those meant to see it.
With Earth in Gate 2 (Allowing/The Receptive), we have the perfect polarity: creative force meets receptive allowing. Purpose emerges not through striving but through opening to what’s already seeking expression through you.
November 7-8: Gate 1.3 & 1.4 – Sustaining Creative Work & Aloneness as the Medium
The Persistent Creator and The Solitary Artist
The third line carries “the energy to sustain creative work.” Through trial and error, through Mars-driven persistence, this line learns to keep pushing through interference. Ra noted that third lines of Gate 1 are well-equipped to keep the outside world from interfering with their creative mutation. For artists, this is the capacity to maintain creative momentum despite external disruption.
The fourth line teaches “aloneness as the medium of creativity.” This is not loneliness but solitude as necessity. Ra emphasized that individuality requires freedom from interference. The fourth line externalizes this principle – it demonstrates to others that creative work requires protected space. These are days for honoring the creative hermit phase, for establishing boundaries around your creative time and energy.
November 9-10: Gate 1.5 & 1.6 – Attracting Society & Objectivity
The Magnetic Creative and The Transcendent Artist
The fifth line of Gate 1 carries intense projection. The world sees you as someone who should be expressing unique creativity, should be making your mark. Ra taught that fifth lines must learn who to trust with their gifts – not everyone who’s attracted to your creativity has your best interests at heart. The key is attracting the right recognition, the invitations that truly serve your creative evolution.
The sixth line transcends the entire question of creative uniqueness. It operates with pure objectivity, creating without attachment to whether the work is recognized as unique or valuable. This is the artist who has moved beyond proving anything, beyond even caring whether the work is understood. Creation happens simply because it must.
Gate 43: Breakthrough and Insight
November 11-16, 2025
November 11-12: Gate 43.1 & 43.2 – Knowing Independent of Logic & Authority
The Silent Knower and The Voice of Insight
On November 11th, the Sun enters Gate 43 in the Ajna Center in Scorpio – the gate of Breakthrough, Insight, or in Karen Curry Parker’s language, the gate of transformative knowing. This is part of the individual knowing circuit, representing knowledge that arrives as sudden insight, as epiphany, as breakthrough understanding that cannot be logically explained.
Ra taught that Gate 43 carries a profound challenge: you know, but you often cannot explain how or why you know. The first line establishes this foundation – knowing that is independent of logic, that operates on its own mysterious frequency. For artists, this is trusting creative insights that arrive without rational justification.
The second line, called “Authority,” learns through projection that others will either grant or deny your right to speak your knowing. Ra emphasized that second lines don’t initially recognize that what they know so naturally may be revolutionary to others. These are days of discovering which creative insights want to be shared and which are meant to remain private.
With Earth in Gate 23 (Transmission/Assimilation) in the Throat Center, we see the challenge clearly: profound knowing in the Ajna seeking the right moment and right words for expression. Not all insights are meant to be shared immediately, but when timing aligns, breakthrough communication becomes possible.
November 13-14: Gate 43.3 & 43.4 – Trial and Error & Explanatory Power
The Experimenting Knower and The Articulate Insight
The third line experiments with different ways of sharing insights, learning through trial and error when explanation works and when it falls flat. Sometimes you share too soon, sometimes too late, sometimes to the wrong people. This is the artist learning to discern timing for revealing creative breakthroughs.
The fourth line develops what Ra called “explanatory power” – the capacity to externalize knowing in ways that others can receive. This line demonstrates that while knowing may arrive mysteriously, it can be communicated effectively when we find the right framework, the right metaphor, the right timing.
November 15-16: Gate 43.5 & 43.6 – Progression & Breakthrough
The Strategic Knower and The Mutative Mind
The fifth line understands people deeply enough to know when and with whom insights can be effectively shared. Ra taught that the fifth line’s dilemma isn’t whether they can explain themselves – it’s whether they truly understand the other person well enough to communicate in a way that lands.
The sixth line represents pure mutation. Ra described this with particular intensity: the 43.6 isn’t interested in knowing itself but in whether the knowing is mutative. Only mutative insight matters at this level. This is the artist whose breakthroughs genuinely shift paradigms, who isn’t satisfied with merely understanding but must transform the field itself.
The Larger Context: November’s Planetary Weather
Throughout November, several significant planetary patterns support this journey through truth, purpose, and breakthrough:
Mercury’s Movement: Mercury travels through Gates 34 (Power) and 9 (Focus) during November, suggesting that communication about where we’re placing our creative energy becomes crucial. How we talk about our work, how we describe our creative focus, carries particular weight this month.
Venus in Gate 32 and 50: Venus activates the Splenic awareness gates, asking what patterns in our creative lives are worth maintaining (Gate 32) and what values truly serve our work (Gate 50).
Mars in Gate 14: Mars brings drive and energy to Gate 14 in the Sacral Center, potentially creating sustainable creative momentum. This is the fuel for the creative power that wants to emerge through Gate 1’s purposeful expression.
Jupiter in Gate 62 (Retrograde beginning mid-November): Jupiter’s retrograde through the gate of Detail and Preparation asks us to review how we’ve been organizing our creative process. Have we been too rigid in our planning? Too scattered? The retrograde offers opportunity to reorganize our approach to creative preparation.
Saturn and Uranus (both retrograde in Gate 25): The ongoing tension between tradition and revolution in the G Center continues to ask: How do we honor what came before while remaining open to what’s trying to emerge? This is particularly relevant for artists working with established forms while seeking fresh expression.
Neptune in Gate 20: The steady presence of Neptune in the gate of Patience reminds us throughout November that presence is the ultimate creative state. Being fully here, now, with what is.
November’s Creative Teaching
What November 2025 offers is a profound journey from instinctual knowing (Gate 44) through purposeful creative expression (Gate 1) to breakthrough insight (Gate 43). This is not about generating creative power from will or effort. It’s about learning to recognize what’s already true (44), surrendering to what wants to express through you (1), and allowing breakthrough to emerge in its own timing (43).
For artists, this month asks you to trust your body’s knowing, to honor your unique creative purpose without trying to force it into acceptable forms, and to remain open to insights that may not make logical sense but carry genuine truth.
The struggle, like the one we might have felt in the last week of October, is never a distraction from spiritual work. It IS the spiritual work, conducted in the only language the body truly understands – through actual engagement with the mess and beauty of creative life.
May your November be guided by instinct, animated by purpose, and illuminated by breakthrough.
